​An exciting 4×4 off-road trip into the heart of North Africa, amidst sand, wind, and stars, designed for true adventure lovers who want to discover Tunisia beyond the classic tourist itineraries and "not just sand."An itinerary to be experienced safely, with quality organization and a guide with twenty years of Saharan experience. The most authentic Tunisia unfolds along remote trails, ancient Berber villages, green oases, and desert landscapes that seem suspended in time, as well as, of course, the unmissable desert stops.

Day 1: Departure by ferry from Genoa. Evening on board, travel briefing, and start of the adventure to Tunisia. Overnight on board.

Day 2: Arrival in Tunisia
Disembark in Tunis and transfer to Hammamet. Overnight stay at a hotel.

Day 3: Gabes
Departure south, through Mediterranean landscapes, mostly along inland tracks, far from any tourist contact. This is true rural Tunisia. Overnight stay and dinner at the hotel.

Day 4: Between Matmata & Ksar Hallouf
Discover the troglodyte villages of Matmata and the ancient Berber fortifications of Ksar Hallouf. Arrive at Ksar Ghilane, gateway to the Sahara and a thermal oasis among the dunes. Overnight camping.

Day 5: In the heart of the dunes
The great Sahara adventure begins! The dunes of the Grand Erg Oriental welcome off-road vehicles into a sea of ​​sand and silence. Bivouac under the stars.

​Day 6: Sahara
We continue through breathtaking desert landscapes, immersed in the pure charm of the desert. We bivouac in the desert.

Day 7: Last night in the desert
Last day among the dunes, golden sand, and sunsets that set the horizon ablaze. Bivouac in the desert.

Day 8: Douz
Return to Douz, an ancient caravan city and a meeting point between desert and civilization. Overnight camping.

Day 9: Tozeur, the great salt lake
Crossing Chott El Jerid, the famous salt lake of mirages. Arrive in Tozeur, a charming oasis city with palm groves. Overnight camping.​

Day 10: Tozeur: Oasis, Mountains & “Star Wars”
Excursion to the spectacular mountain oases of Chebika and Tamerza, following the legendary "Rommel Trail." Visit the Star Wars film sets amidst the canyons and desert. Overnight camping.

Day 11: Kairouan: Traveling North
Happy New Year amidst the landscapes of Tunisia's hinterland! We'll travel across the spectacular Biada Pass, taking Tunisia's highest road and visiting the ancient Sened Caves. We'll arrive in the holy city of Kairouan in the afternoon.
Day 12: Hammamet: Between Archaeology & Relaxation
In the morning, we'll visit the Great Mosque Square and the Medina of Kairouan. We'll then head north to visit the Water Temple and the Roman site of Thuburbo Majus, two of Tunisia's finest archaeological sites.

Day 13: Return to Tunis & Boarding
Transfer to the port of Tunis and board the ferry to Italy.

Day 14: Arrival in Genoa
Arrival in Genoa.

Given the nature of the itinerary, scheduled in "difficult" areas, there may also be significant changes to the program/route due to weather events, safety issues, or permit revocations. In these cases, the Organisation will implement the necessary route changes in consultation with local authorities, agreeing with them on any new itinerary, always prioritizing the safety of participants.

• Hot evening meals and breakfast are provided. Therefore, crews will need to prepare their own lunchtime snacks! Tables, chairs, plates, glasses, and cutlery will NOT be provided;
• Technical assistance (extraordinary maintenance and unexpected repairs, subject to time and spare parts available) and logistics throughout the trip;

Note: The services provided are calculated for a minimum of 10 participants. If the trip is confirmed with fewer participants, the organization reserves the right to eliminate some services. This will be communicated to registered participants via email, without altering the spirit of the trip.

• Transport of passengers by off-road vehicles with drivers/guides;
• Tables, chairs, plates, glasses and cutlery for dinners when not provided in structures;
• Midday snack, when packed lunch is provided;
• Mineral water to drink throughout the tour;
• Transport of camping equipment and luggage transport (max 60 litre bag).

• Meals and drinks on board the ferry;
• All types of drinks;
• Fuel and motorway tolls;
• Routine maintenance and spare parts for your vehicles, although there will always be someone to teach you how to do it;
