Tunisia Off-Road Looking for adventure? Discover the rugged beauty of Tunisia by 4x4 or motorcycle. From endless sand dunes to mysterious oases and ancient caravan routes, Tunisia's off-road adventure offers pure driving pleasure in breathtaking desert landscapes! In Brief When: October 18–27, 2025 November 1–10, 2025 December 6–15, 2025 Duration: 10 days–9 nights Level: Intermediate Participants: Minimum 10 Fuel: For 700 km of range Total km: 1200, of which 400 are off-road "The Thousand Dunes of the Sahara" Off-road through Tunisia by 4x4 (and motorcycle) Travel with us, in complete safety, with the guidance and experience of people who have been organizing off-road tours in the Sahara for twenty years. My partner also takes local people with us, ensuring excellent support. This means that, if necessary, technical problems can be resolved, depending on the severity of the problem and the availability of parts. The Time of the Caravans During this trip, we'll virtually travel back in time and experience the magical atmosphere of the great Sahara expeditions. We'll follow ancient caravan routes until we reach the beloved large dunes in the area between Tiembaine, El Mida, and Ain Ouadette. After arriving in the port of Tunis, we'll drive south by road and spend the night in a magnificent five-star hotel. The next morning, we'll leave early and take unfamiliar roads and trails to discover a lesser-known side of Tunisia. This is how we reach our true departure point: Douz, the gateway to the desert. From there, after refueling, we depart for a complete immersion in the sand, through one of the most fascinating areas of the Tunisian desert, all the way to Lake Ain Ouadette. There, we can take a refreshing bath in the warm waters of the "mythical" pool. We then continue, constantly over sand and dunes, towards Tiembaine and the Parc du Jebil, until we return to Douz. Afterwards, we return to Tunis on tarmac, passing through small villages reminiscent of centuries past. There's still time to visit the most characteristic medinas before boarding the ferry back to Genoa. The combination of breathtaking landscapes, nights under a twinkling starry sky, the captivating nature, the history of these places, and the passion that my Approved Partner puts into its travels make this journey an unforgettable adventure. Overnight stays are of the highest quality: When we stay in hotels, we'll be in 4- or 5-star accommodations. During the bivouacs, we'll sleep under millions of stars, in the most beautiful locations carefully selected by our guides. Participants' tents and vehicles will be set up according to their own preferences and creativity, preferably not too far from the "base camp," which will be set up near the support vehicle. In the event of strong winds or cold, a large tent will be erected where we can eat and chat in a sheltered spot. Dinner and breakfast are always provided by the crew. |
