The Green Code
Driving style and mindset
Fortunately, there are many off road organizations that use a Green Code and those codes are very similar. For me, Code Green driving is simply driving with respect for the locals and nature. And off course you follow the instructions of the guide.

First of all: I have been driving off road for 40 years and have mainly pleasant experiences with bystanders.
Respect for people, nature and the environment
Thanks!! We want to continue to do the wonderful off road driving for many years to come.
Respect for people, nature and the environment
- we only drive where this is allowed
- we respect traffic rules and other road users
- we follow the indicated route and do not create new routes or tracks
- we know that where you are not allowed to drive, others can follow our tracks resulting in damage and/or prohibitions
- we make good riding arrangements with our fellow drivers
- we follow the instructions of the organization
- we drive quietly and controlled so safely
- we know the capabilities of our vehicle and ourselves
- we prevent unnecessary dust clouds or splashing water, mud, pebbles
- we don't just dive into opaque water puddles (dangerous)
- we keep waste with us
- we drive leak-proof
- during repairs, we collect liquids
- we prevent damage to trees and plants
- when necessary, we release air from the tires
- we ensure that windows, mirrors, lighting, etc. continue to meet legal requirements
- our license plates remain legible
- we pay attention to fire danger and avoid or are careful with open fire
- it is clear to us that our hot exhaust in dry nature is also a fire hazard
- we close open gates (where you can pass) after passing
- we give space and ride quietly (speed / sound) past fellow riders, cyclists, walkers, riders, farmers and residents
- we pass others in a friendly way, for example with a greeting
- seeing nervous horses we stop and turn off the engine - we wait until they are a long way past
- our exhaust is normal to silent
- if we stop for more than 1 minute, we turn off the engine
- if others want us to stop, we stop
- we avoid discussions and explain that we drive Code Green
- above all we listen, show understanding and communicate de-escalating
- we take all responsibility for our own behavior and decisions during the ride or tour.
Thanks!! We want to continue to do the wonderful off road driving for many years to come.
